Dr. Alan Goldberg is a Sports Performance Consultant with almost 40 years of experience working with athletes across all sports and at every level.  Dr. G specializes in helping swimmers overcome performance fears and blocks and race to their potential.  

 

A popular presenter at coaches’ clinics and swim clubs around the country, Dr. G has the ability to take the topic of mental toughness training and present it in a practical, user friendly and humorous way!  Dr. G teaches through stories, utilizing his experience of working with thousands of swimmers over the years to illustrate why swimmers struggle under pressure and how to help them break through into peak performance! 

 

He’s been a regular contributor to USA Swimming’s Splash Magazine, USASwimming.org, and other swim publications. He is the author of Smoke On The Water (A mental toughness guide for swimmers); DMTS - Developing Mentally Tough Swimmers - A Coach’s Guide; Swimming Fast When It Counts The Most; The Racer’s Edge (An audio meet companion for swimmers) and his most recent audio mental toughness training program and track by track guidebook, Swimming With The Competitive Edge.
